Ladybug CLASS SKILLS

Academic skills covered in the Ladybug Class include: beginning to write first name in title case, fine motor skills, shapes, reinforcement of colors, verbal counting to 20, introduction to letter sounds and identification uppercase letters.
Additionally, social-emotional and self-help skills will be taught in hands-on ways to support mental health, gain friendship skills, and foster independence.
All these skills are taught throughout the day and incorporated in our monthly studies guided by student interest.

DAILY SCHEDULE
8:00-11:00 Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Each day will include 60 minutes of play indoors and 30 minutes of play outside as weather allows. Class time will also include:

Every month, each class enjoys a visit from two special community helpers:
– Janis Comer, Indianola Public Library
– Kelsey Longnecker or Hootin' Hannah, naturalists at Annett Nature Center
