Dragonfly CLASS SKILLS

The academic skills covered in the Dragonfly Class include: name recognition (uppercase letters), basic shapes (square, triangle, circle, heart, star), primary colors, verbal counting to 10, self-help skills, and following directions.
Additionally, social-emotional and self-help skills will be taught in hands-on ways to support mental health, gain friendship skills, and foster independence.
All these skills are taught throughout the day and incorporated in our monthly studies guided by student interest.

DAILY SCHEDULE

8:00-11:00am Tuesday and Thursday
Each day will include 60 minutes of play indoors and
30 minutes of play outside as weather allows.

Every month, each class enjoys a visit from two special community helpers:
– Janis Comer, Indianola Public Library
– Kelsey Longnecker or Hootin' Hannah, naturalists at Annett Nature Center
