Butterfly CLASS SKILLS

Academic skills covered in the Butterfly Class include: writes first name and last name in title case, writes and recognizes numbers 1-10 and uses 1-1 correspondence, shapes, patterning, identification of all upper and lowercase letters, cutting objects for projects, beginning to make letter-sound connections.
Additionally, social-emotional and self-help skills will be taught in hands-on ways to support mental health, gain friendship skills, and foster independence.
All these skills are taught throughout the day and incorporated in our monthly studies guided by student interest.

LEARN ABOUT CREATIVE CURRICULUM

DAILY SCHEDULE
8:00-11:00am Monday - Friday
Each day will include 60 minutes of play indoors and 30 minutes of play outside as weather allows. Class time will also include:

Every month, each class enjoys a visit from two special community helpers:
– Janis Comer, Indianola Public Library
– Kelsey Longnecker or Hootin' Hannah, naturalists at Annett Nature Center
